Not Your Typical Valentine’s Day Outfit

WHAT I’M WEARING

freepeople scarf | jcrew sweater {old; similar here} | blank denim (under $100!) | bcbg heels {similar here + here} | tory burch robinson handbag {old; similar here + here} | nasty gal sunnies {old/prada dupes; identical pair here for $12!} | michael kors runway watch | mac lipstick in ‘rebel’

In previous years I’ve enjoyed getting dressed up for Valentine’s Day to share outfit inspiration and ideas. My go-to palette was the usual pink or red, but this year I decided to meet those colors in the middle and go with magenta (plus, I’m kinda obsessed with this scarf lately). This look is 100% me. I would totally wear this on a Valentine’s Day night out with Matt or a date-night in watching Netflix with homemade popcorn.

My thoughts on Valentine’s Day dressing is to wear something that is 100% you! If you feel like you should dress up, but you can’t find a dress that “suits you,” dress up your favorite pair of jeans with soft layers and sexy heels.

Then just sneak this pretty snack in your purse and you’ll be good to go. 😉

  2. I’ve never thought of wearing magenta instead of red or pink – but I like it! It’s a more toned-down look which is perfect if you’re not doing something especially fancy.
