This past weekend was my 8th wedding anniversary and it’s so amazing to look back over the years at all we have been through together. This past year was especially challenging for us with IVF, and even though we left little Benji with my mom while we went out for a few hours to celebrate, it felt so different going out just the two of us knowing we have a baby now. We couldn’t stop talking about how much we love him.

I wore this outfit the entire day leading up to our casual evening celebration, which consisted of a couples massage followed by pizza and cupcakes for dessert. I’m still working on fitting into my normal sizes postpartum so I was pretty stoked that these pants fit (they’re on sale, btw!) and these gorgeous metallic wedges from Söfft made me feel so glam without the discomfort I often feel after wearing heels all day. I was running errands in these shoes and still felt light on my feet by the end of the night.

I’m already thinking up outfits for the long Memorial Day weekend coming up and love the idea of gold with navy, white and red!
