The other day I was counting up the number of weeks that have passed since I started my fitness resolutions (five! gasp.). I have found over and over that I must have a ‘plan for my plan’ to ensure I’m keeping my mind focused and my eyes on my prize. And that’s why I made a list of things I would do regularly to help keep myself on track (you can read the list here). Of course I’ve had weeks that were better than others and days where I missed my workouts, but it has always come back to that little list. When I stop doing one thing on that list, it usually leads to another, and before I know it, I’ve forgotten what I’m even working toward. It’s the little steps (that often don’t seem like they really make a difference) that guide us toward success and collectively make a big difference when we look back at how far we’ve come.
