I have been a long-time admirer of The Shine Project. If you’re not already familiar, they employ inner city American youth to hand make jewelry to help them pay their way through college. For the next seven weeks, The Shine Project will be launching a new tee shirt (or “shine tee”) that their student employees helped to concept/design. Each tee has a different motivational quote that represents the inspiring life story of a student employee, and a portion of the proceeds will also go toward each student’s scholarship.

I feel so honored to represent the beautiful Fransisca by wearing the “Never give up” tee (incredibly soft and comfy, btw!). I have turned to this quote for motivation in my own life and actually have a bookmark from my high school basketball days that I still use as a reminder to always keep trying.
