I mentioned in a post last week that I have been using Vaseline since I was little—crazy to think it has been around since 1870 (to be clear, I have not. ha). It has always worked great for me when I get chapped lips or cracks in the corners of my mouth (usually during the colder winter months) that require something extra soothing. I prefer to apply it at night so there’s plenty of uninterrupted time for my skin to fully absorb it, however, the new Vaseline Lip Tins have recently come in handy as a primer before applying my lipstick as well. I use a smaller amount than I would before bed, but just enough to provide a smooth foundation and a little shine.

The new Vaseline Lip Tins are available in four variants:

I typically use the Original or the Aloe tin at night and the other two during the day. I don’t love that I have to use my finger to apply, but it’s not sticky or greasy, so I can’t complain too much. There’s also something unique and iconic about these tins that makes them fun to sport around (not to mention the perfect pocket size and how great they make my lips feel). They strangely make me want to keep my nails well manicured, too, but that’s neither here nor there. 😉

Vaseline Lip Tins are available for purchase at food, drug and mass retail outlets (including Target!) for about $3.99 each. You can also visit vaseline.us for more info or @VaselineBrand on social.

I usually just use Vaseline in the regular plastic tubs–will have to give this cute on the go variety a try!
