Today I’m joining several local bloggers in a day of remembrance for those affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School this last Friday. Perhaps because I know no other way to show my deepest feelings of sympathy than to step away from my own busy agenda for a day of thoughts and prayers. 

I am not a mom yet, but I am so blessed to be surrounded by little children in my life who instantly reconnect me with my own childhood. Their innocence and simplicity reminds me to enjoy the little things in life, never taking one breath for granted.

My heart is with the families of Newtown today.
