New Year’s Eve. The mark of a brand new year, a clean slate, a chance to turn those “should-have’s” into “wills!” And what better way to ring in the new year than with a little glam? I firmly believe that the way you spend New Year’s Eve sets you up for the rest of the year. For me, I like to spend NYE all dressed up, feeling (and looking!) gorgeous, while spending time with the ones I love most. That, to me, is a perfect way to start off a brand new year.

I tend to keep it pretty simple when it comes to makeup on New Year’s Eve. Adding just the right amount of sparkle to my eyes and the perfect pop of dramatic color to my lips, and I’m good to go.

Here are a few of my favorite things to complete that perfectly glamorous NYE look with just the right amount of drama, sparkle and sass.

I couldn’t agree more with Lauren about setting the tone for a brand new year with how you spend New Year’s Eve. My annual NYE traditions consist of a low-key family get together, but it’s the gathering I look forward to more than any other all year. We play tons of games and take lots of photos so I always love to dress up my makeup (I swear by the Ardell Demi Wispies, but I’m eager to try these Lashes in a Box from Lauren) and go a tiny more casual with my outfit… blog post coming soon on that. 😉
