I didn’t anticipate this, but as my belly has continued to grow, my style has become less colorful. I used to always have some element of color in my outfits (almost to a fault) and rarely wore black, especially black-on-black. I don’t remember consciously choosing to wear more black, but I will admit, it feels more slimming and flattering with my shape these days. Given how private I was about IVF and the success of my pregnancy, I guess you could say my style transformation is somewhat fitting—neutral colors are certainly more muted and quiet compared to noisy, bright colors. It will be interesting to see if things change once again after baby comes.

Have any major life events (such as pregnancy) ever changed your personal style?
